OBITUARY: Leon Rex Smith, Mitchell County, Iowa

                    LEON R. SMITH 85, DIED IN MINNEAPOLIS

Funeral services were held April 11, (1966), in Minneapolis for a former
resident of Mitchell County, Leon Smith, 85. Burial was in the Crystal Lake
Cemetery.

Leon Rex Smith was born in Floyd, Nov. 15, 1880, the son of Charles H. and
Ella Smalley Smith. He farmed in Mitchell county until he moved to Mitchell,
where he owned and managed a small cafe. He moved to Minneapolis in 1931.

His marriage to Ruby C. Hulse took place in 1903, in Osage.

He is survived by his children, (Thelma), Mrs. Melvin Donague of Minneapolis,
(Maxine),

Mrs. Henry Wagner of Coca Beach, Fla.; and Van Charles of Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Morse
and Mrs. Pearl Morse.
