OBITUARY: Alfred Joseph Tesch, Mitchell County, Iowa (1966) ALFRED TESCH FUNERAL HELD AT ST JOHN'S LUTHERAN Funeral services for Alfred Tesch, 63, were held Fri. August 12 at St. John's Lutheran church, Rock township, with the Rev. William Kamke officiating. (1966) Alfred Joseph Tesch was born March 12, 1903 in Rock township, the son of August and Wilhelmina Tesch. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran church. He was married to Ethel Stehn on September 5, 1935. They established their home at Grafton where he lived the rest of his life. Mr. Tesch had been in failing health for about two years. On Tuesday, August 9, he became seriously ill and died at the age of 63 years, four months and 28 days. Surviving are his wife, Ethel; one son, Daryl of Mason City; two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. George Katcavage) of South St. Paul, Minn.; and Marlene at home; one brother, Fred Tesch of Lyle, Minn; and Marlene at home, one brother, Fred Tesch of Lyle, Minn.; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and his twin brother, Herman. Pallbearers were Clarence Wilde, Lawrence Rosenberg, Arthur Wilde, Wilbur Tesch, Arthur Trettin and Eugene Wilde. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery with Rev.
