OBITUARY: Herman Tesch, Mitchell County, Iowa (1966) HERMAN TESCH FUNERAL HELD ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN Funeral services for Herman Tesch, 63, were held Saturday, May 7, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock township, with the Rev. Elmer Jacobs officiating. Herman Tesch was born March 12, 1903 in Rock Township, the son of August and Wilhemina Tesch. He was baptized in infancy and confirmed April 11, 1917 at St. John's Lutheran Church. He received his education in the Rural No. 6 school and lived on the family farm until 1948 when he moved to the residence he purchased in St. Ansgar. He died Wednesday, May 4, (1966) at the home of his twin brother, Alfred. His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death. The survivors include two brothers, Fred of Lyle and Alfred of Mitchell; also two nieces, Mrs. Geo. (Marilyn) Katcavage of South St. Paul, Minn., Miss Marlene Tesch of Mason City and one nephew, Daryl Tesch of Mason City. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Jacobs in charge of the committal service. Pallbearers were Clarence Wilde, Lawrence Rosenberg, Arthur Wilde, Eugene Wilde, Roy Trettin and Arthur Trettin.
