OBITUARY: Theodore Tribbensee, Mitchell County, Iowa FUNERAL HELD FOR T. TRIBBENSEE, 86 Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran church in St. Ansgar for Theodore Tribbensee, 86, who died at the Osage Nursing home June 22 after a lingering illness. Services are being conducted by the Rev. Edw. M. Lang of Trinity Lutheran church in Osage. Theodore Tribbensee was born Jan. 31, 1879 at Schewessin Germany, the son of William and Louise Kreuger Tribbensee. He was educated in the Lutheran parochial school in Germany. In 1903, he emigrated to America and engaged in farming in the Grafton and St. Ansgar area until his retirement. On Jan. 26, 1907 he was united in marriage to Anna Viergutz Walk. Preceding him in death were his wife Anna, an infant son, his parents, two sisters, two brothers and two step sons. Survivors include: three sons; Arthur of St. Ansgar; Rudolph of Mitchell; and Edwin of Rochester, Minn; and three grandchildren, two step-daughters and 20 step-children.
