OBITUARY: John Martin Von Tersch, Mitchell County, Iowa MASS OF ANGELS RITES HELD FOR JOHN VonTERSCH Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage for John Von Tersch, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Von Tersch, who died Saturday evening at the home of his parents. The child had been ill since he was 13 months old and was confined to Mitchell County Memorial hospital during part of his illness. The Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Conroy, church pastor, was in charge of the Mass of Angles. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons and burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery. John Martin Von Tersch was born Sept. 26, 1962, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, the son of Thomas and Marilyn Lewis Von Tersch. He was baptized in infancy at Sacred Heart church. Surviving are his parents, his grandparents, Mrs. Jeanette Lewis, Clifford B. Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. William Von Tersch, all of Osage; one great grandfather, John Moore of Lincoln, Ill,, and Mrs. K. A. Von Tersch of Omaha, several aunts and uncles. Preceding him in death was his sister Michele Ann.
