OBITUARY: Abraham L. Anderson, 1894-1981, Mitchell County, Iowa [St. Ansgar Enterprise, 28 MAY 1981] Abraham L. Anderson Funeral Held Friday, May 22 Funeral services for Abraham (Abe) L. Anderson, 86, who died Monday, May 19 at Lake Mills Nursing Home, were held May 22 at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Conger, with the Rev. Keith Kolzow officiating. Abe L. Anderson was born July 31, 1894 in Bath township, Freeborn county, the son of Christian and Margaret Anderson. He attended the rural Bath township school. He farmed in Bath and Richland townships before retiring to Geneva, Minn. where he lived for four years. He lived in Fresno, Calif. for 16 years and for the past 14 years in Conger. He married Alma Ramsey on December 11, 1918 in Owatonna, Minn. He is survived by one son, Russell A. of Conger; one daughter, Mrs. C.V. (Phyllis) Donahue of St. Ansgar; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on March 20, 1981, seven brothers, Ludvick, Oscar, Herman, Arthur, Carl, Hartvick and Alexander in infancy, and three sisters, Alma, Minnie and Selma. Burial was in the Conger Community cemetery with Rev. Kolzow in charge of the committal services.
