OBITUARY: Roger W. Cooper, 1941-1981, Mitchell County, Iowa [St. Ansgar Enterprise, 28 MAY 1981] Roger W. Cooper Funeral Held Wednesday, May 27 Funeral services for Rogar W. Cooper, 40, of Grafton, who died Sunday, May 24, were held Wednesday, May 27 at the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Grafton with the Rev. Gary Panko officiating. Rogar W. Cooper was born March 11, 1941 in Worth County, the son of Emery and Velma (Bartusek) Cooper. He was baptized in Manly, and also attended school there. He married Linda Quindt May 25, 1979 at the Bethany Lutheran church in Kensett. Two daughters were born to them. He had been employed as an electrician at the David Manufacturing Co. in Mason City for the past 14 years. He also was a lifetime member of the Kensett Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Brenda Cooper of Grafton and Annette Cooper of Kensett; one step son, Kevin Wilde of Grafton; eight sisters, Bonnie Doebel of Clear Lake; Mary Albright of Silver Lake, Minn.; Shirley Martin of Little Rock, Ark.; Maxine Johnson of Iowa Falls; Jean Heniger of Britt; Gloria Mathis of Jacksonville, Ark.; Joyce Shropshire of Hayfield; Doris McCourt, Shellsburg; three brothers, Wayne of Iowa Falls; Richard of Nora Springs; and Ron of Manly; his father, Emery Cooper of Manly. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Robert. Burial was in the Manly cemetery with the Rev. Panko in charge of committal services.
