OBITUARY: David Kevin Dammen, 1954-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa [Mitchell County Press-News, online, www.mcpress.com, Posted 5 FEB 2003] David Kevin Dammen Funeral services for David Kevin Dammen, 48, were held Friday, January 31, 2003 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage. Reverend Dennis Hanson and Reverend Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. David died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. David Dammen was born August 15, 1954 in Osage the son of Karl and Connie (Berg) Dammen. He graduated from Osage High School in 1972 and attended Iowa State University for one year. He then returned home to farm with his family, which is what he loved to do. David was united in marriage to Susan Bartz on September 7, 1974 in Grafton. For Dave the simple things in life were what brought him pleasure. He loved fishing, especially trips to Northern Minnesota and Canada. He loved spending time with his family, friends and especially visiting his daughters. You could always find David driving the back roads checking the crops. He was preceded in death by his father Karl G. Dammen and sister Betty Dammen. David's survivors include three daughters, Nicole Dammen and special friend Joshua Clausen of Mason City; Helga Dammen and Stephanie Dammen, both of Osage; mother Connie Dammen of Osage; Susan Dammen of Osage; sister Mary Graeff and husband Ron of Ottumwa and their three children Anna, Arun and Anu; two brothers Darwin Dammen and his wife Carol of Lander, WY and their two sons, Mike Dammen and wife Lisa and their two children Hannah and Isabelle of Des Moines, Tony Dammen and fiancee Cherie of Lander, WY; Dennis Dammen and wife Julaine of Prior Lake, MN and their two children; Krista Anderson and husband Todd of Eden Prairie, MN and Aaron Dammen of Plymouth, MN.
