OBITUARY: Jerry Dohler, 1911-2003, Mitchell County, Iowa #1 of 2 [Mitchell County Press-News online -- Posted January 22, 2003] Jerry Dohler Jerry Dohler, 91, of St. Ansgar, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003) at Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. Inurnment will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery in St. Ansgar. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar. #2 of 2 [Mitchell County Press-News online -- Posted January 29, 2003] Jerry Dohler Memorial services were held for Jerry Dohler, 91 of St. Ansgar on Friday, January 24, 2003 at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar. The Reverend Jay Amundson officiated. Private inurnment was at the St. Ansgar Cemetery. Jerry died Monday, January 20, 2003 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.
Jerry Dohler was born at Primghar, IA May 20, 1911 to William and Oriel Loveless Dohler.
After graduating from Omaha Technical High School, he went to Rapid City, SD. It was there that he married Grace Shaffer on Feb. 18, 1935. They lived on a ranch, raising cattle and wheat until 1951, when they moved to the St. Ansgar area where Jerry was engaged in welding and metal fabrication.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, sister and son-in-law.
His survivors include four children Dora Biederman (Dick) of Osage, Royal Dohler (Barbara) of St. Ansgar, Una Bleess (John Gerdes) of Blue Earth, MN and Sandra Hulshizer (Marvin) of Georgetown, Tx, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar had charge of arrangemnts.
