OBITUARY: Dorothy Elizabeth Leona Kirchgatter Greiner, Mitchell County, Iowa [St. Ansgar Enterprise, 1 JAN 1981] Mrs. William Greiner Funeral Held Here Friday, December 26 Funeral services for Mrs. William Greiner, 71, of St. Ansgar, who died December 24 at St. Joseph Mercy hospital in Mason City, were held December 26 at the Immanuel Lutheran church here with the Rev. Norman Betke officiating. Dorothy Elizabeth Leona Kirchgatter Greiner was born October 30, 1909 in Worth county, south of Carpenter, the daughter of Henry C. and Theresa (Jadecka) Kirchgatter. She was baptized January 30, 1910 at the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Grafton by the Rev. John T. Landdecke. She was confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Grafton April 15, 1924 by the Rev. Carl Landdeck. She attended and was graduated from the Carpenter school. June 28, 1928 she married William Greiner in Austin, Minn. with the Rev. Milbrath officiating. Three children were born to them. The Greiners were engaged in farming in Mitchell county, and moved to St. Ansgar in 1976. They became members of the Immanuel Lutheran church in St. Ansgar in 1978. Mrs. Greiner is survived by her husband, William; two daughters and a son, Mrs. Edwin (Maxine) Steinberg of St. Ansgar, E. W. "Bud" Greiner of St. Ansgar, and Mrs. Robert (Vaneta) Wilson of Mason City; four grandchildren, James Sayles of Mankato, Minn., Tom and Lori Wilson of Mason City and David Steinberg of St. Ansgar; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Rosenberg of Grafton and Mrs. Rose Borchardt of Carpenter and nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Theresa Kroneman. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Betke in charge of the committal services.
