                       Mrs. Louis Koster Funeral
                      Held Here Saturday, March 28

  Funeral services for Mrs. Louis H. Koster, 81, who died at her home in
St. Ansgar March 25, were held March 28 at the St. Ansgar United Methodist
church with the Rev. Wittern officiating.

  Elsie Sophia Koster was born December 2, 1899 in Traer, the daughter of
Julius and Mary Arp. As a young girl she came with her family to live on a
farm near Osage.

  She married Louis H. Koster February 18, 1922. Five children were born to
them. The Koster family farmed east of St. Ansgar until retiring to St.
Ansgar in 1951.

  Mrs. Koster is survived by her husband, Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Al
(Neva) Toppin of Rudd and Mrs. Richard (Donna) Hyland of Hayfield, Minn.;
one son, Darwin of St. Ansgar; a brother, Ed Arp of Osage; 16 grandchildren
and 31 great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sons,
Marlin and Delmer.

  Burial was in the Osage cemetery with Rev. Wittern in charge of the
committal services.
