OBITUARY: Anna Krause, 1886-1966, Mitchell County, Iowa [Source: Mitchell County Press-News or Mason City Globe Gazette] MRS. ANNA KRAUSE, 79, HEART ATTACK VICTIM Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage for Mrs. Anna Krause, 78, who died at her home Feb. 8. Living alone, she apparently suffered a stroke and was discovered by neighbors the following morning. Burial was at St. John's cemetery in Rock Township. The Rev. Edward M. Lang, pastor of Trinity Lutheran, was in charge of the services. Anna Ida Krause was born June 8, 1886, near Grafton, the daughter of Christian and Augusta Walk. She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. On Oct. 25, 1905, she was married to Emil A. Krause. They lived on a farm in Newberg township until 1944 when the retired and moved to Osage. Mrs. Krause was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil and one daughter, Elfrieda. Survivors include her daughters Laura Krause of Waterloo, Mrs. Gayden Jordan, Edna, Of Mitchell, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
