OBITUARY: Elizabeth Levers, 1832-1907, Mitchell County, Iowa LEVERS Elizabeth Levers was born in Thornburg, county of Devon, England, January 15, 1832, and died Dec. 24, 1907, in the seventy-fifth year of her age. Her husband at whose side she journeyed for years, passed away on July 27th. 1888 since which time she has found comfort and home with her sons. She came to America in 1872, and for eighteen months made her home at Cedar Falls, then moving to Osage where they established business and where she resided till her decease. Mrs. Levers has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for many years, and when in the house of God, was an attentive quiet worshiper. She has been failing gradually for the past two years . Four months ago she was taken down to her bed and has been confined there until her release. She was a great sufferer; and death was indeed a release. The funeral was held on Thursday, Dec. 26th at 10:00 a.m. from her late residence, conducted by F. P. Shaffer, and burial was made in Osage Cemetery.
