OBITUARY: Gertrude (Green) McIllnay, 1915-c1966, Mitchell County, Iowa MRS. VELMER MCILLNAY DIED IN CHICAGO Funeral services were held March 3, for Gertrude McIllnay, 50, who died March 1, at a Chicago hospital. She was hospitalized four weeks. Mrs. McIllnay and her husband, Velmer, were former Osage residents. Services were held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Chicago and burial was in a cemetery there. Gertrude Green was born near Glenwood, Minn., Aug. 29, 1915. She attended the rural schools and was graduated from Osage high school with the class of 1933. Her marriage to Velmar McIllnay took place in Chicago Nov. 3, 1941. They established their home there, and have lived in the same house. Surviving are: her husband, Velmer; one son James; two daughters, Joan and Elizabeth, at home; one sister, Mrs. Cordelia Hacker of Chicago, and one brother Anton Green of Sheboygan, Wis.
