OBITUARY: Jason James Glen Parcel 1975-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa [ Mitchell County Press-News online -- Posted Mar. 5, 2003 ] Jason Parcel Funeral services were held for Jason James Glen Parcel, age 27 of Mason City formerly of Riceville at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville on Monday, March 3. The Reverend Michael Parris officiated. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Riceville. Visitation for Jason was held at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville on Sunday. He passed away Thursday, February 27 in Mason City, IA. Jason was born in Osage, IA on May 30, 1975 to James and Sharon (Rosenberg) Parcel. He attended Riceville schools and graduated from Riceville Community High School in 1994. Jason was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville. He enjoyed his family, music and playing his guitar. He was employed by Murphy's U.S.A. in Mason City and enjoyed meeting the many people. Jason Parcel was preceded in death by his grandparents Glenn and Arlene Rosenberg and Glen and Leona Parcel. He will be sadly missed by those who survive him including his parents James and Sharon Parcel of Riceville, a son Trae Dozark of Riceville, two sisters Michelle Rush and her husband Kelly of Mason City and Melanie Ostrander of Jewell, his nieces Taia Saltou, Danielle and Mariah Ostrander, Kaitlyn and Kourtney Rush. Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville had charge of arrangements.
