OBITUARY: Stephen Pederson, 1862-1894, Mitchell County, Iowa

                              Obituary

Stephen Pederson was born in Iladeland, Norway, January 3, 1862.  He came
to this country some eight years ago.  In 1889, Dec. 26, he was united
in marriage to Miss Hannah Olson, of Osage.  They have lived here and
at Waterloo, Mr. Pederson being a faithful employee of Kelly, Morgan
and Taneyhill.  About a year ago he had an attack of the grip, which
settled on his lungs and run into consmption, causing his death October
20, 1894.

His bereaved wife is entirely along, there being no children. The funeral
services, attended by our own citizens and a large delegation from
Waterloo, were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. J. Olson, of St. Ansgar,
and the remains were interred in the Osage cemetery.

Mrs. Pederson wishes us to express her sincere thanks to the many friends
who showed them kindness in the time of their affliction.
