OBITUARY: Emma Skinner, c1887-1924, Mitchell County, Iowa DEATH OF MISS EMMA SKINNER Daughter of Mrs. W. E. Skinner Passed Away Sunday Evening After Illness of a Week Emma Skinner passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 14, 1924, at 9:30 o'clock, after only a week's illness. She was born in Osage 37 years ago and during that time she and her aged mother have been inseparable companions. Her health had been such that she was unable to take an active part in activities outside her home and this drew mother and daughter very close together. Her first words in the morning when she awakened were, "How are you mother; did you rest will last night?" and a few days before her death noticing her mother's weariness she commented on it, showing how anxious she was in spite of her own weakness. Her disposition was especially kindly. Her brother Roy of Vinton came Monday and Ben of Maplewood, N. J. and Henry of Muskogee, Okla., arrived yesterday noon. The funeral will be conducted at the home this afternoon by her pastor, Rev. W. T. Smith of the M.E. church and burial was in our cemetery.
