OBITUARY: Evelyn Vollbrecht Murphy, 1909-1966, Mitchell County, Iowa

               Mrs. JOE MURPHY, 56,OF RICEVILLE DIED

Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Riceville Monday
morning for Mrs. Joseph Murphy, 56, of rural Riceville, who died Friday at the Charles City
hospital.  Her death was caused by a malignancy. (April 14, 1966)

The Rev. Joseph W. Bohr, church pastor, was in charge of the services.  Arrangements were
by the Chisholm funeral home at Riceville and burial was in Calvary cemetery.

Evelyn Vollbrecht was born Nov. 29, 1909, in Mitchell county, the daughter of Julius and
Nellie Seavy Vollbrecht.  Her marriage to Joseph Murphy took place at Immaculate Conception
church in Riceville Sept. 24, 1927.

Survivors are her husband, Joe and one son, Eugene of Riceville; one daughter, Mrs. Lynn
Stevenson , Imogene, of Elma; four sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents.
