OBITUARY: Dolly (Nudd) Cady, 1807-1906, Mitchell Co. Iowa Mrs. Abner Cady 1807-1906 Dolly Nudd was born in Skanada, Maine, December 13th, 1807, and died at Mitchell, Iowa, February 18th, 1906, aged 98 years, 2 months, 13 days. She moved to Troopsburg, Steubin County, New York, in childhood. She married Abner T. Cady, December the 14th, 1826, moved to Ripley county, Indiana, in 1834. Eleven years afterward she moved to Dane county, Wisconsin and to Mitchell, Iowa, in 1854, thence to Pleasanton, Kansas in 1857, where her husband departed this life in 1858. She returned to Mitchell in June, 1905. She was the mother of twelve children, nine sons and three daughters. She was the grandmother of thirty-nine, the great-grandmother of fifty, and the great-great-grandmother of three. In all she had one hundred and nine descendents. She was converted in early life and joined the Methodist church and ever remained a consistent member of the same. She leaves eight children to rejoice in the heritage of her godly example, four having passed on before, who will doubtless greet her in her Heavenly home.
