OBITUARY: Elton Curtis Carrison, 1882-1926, Mitchell Co., Iowa [SOURCE: Press News, Osage, IA] Elton C. Carrison Is Dead Former Resident of Burr Oak Township, Passed Away in St. Joseph, Mo. Burial Here Elton Curtis Carrison died at the sanitarium in St. Joseph, Mo., June 15, 1926, at the age of 43 years and 6 months. His death was a result of a years suffering caused by complications of diseases. Mr. Carrison was born in Dane county, Wis., Dec. 15, 1882, removing to Mitchell County, Iowa in 1900. He was married to Miss Dale Cummings of Burr Oak Township in 1904 and lived in the same township until March 1918, when the family moved to Ringgold County, Iowa. Two years later they moved to a farm in Mercer county, Mo. Mr. Carrison is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dale Carrison; one child, Ralph; his father, Wm. C. Carrison of Osage; two brothers, Clinton of Burr Oak, and Percy of Estherville, Iowa, and a half sister, Mrs. W.R. Galley, Kenyon, Minn. The funeral services were conducted at the cemetery chapel in Osage by Rev. L.H. Cox, pastor of the Little Cedar Baptist church, Sunday afternoon and internment made in the Osage cemetery.
