OBITUARY: Jefferey T. Crooks, 1961-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                         Jefferey T. Crooks

Memorial services will be held for Jefferey T. Crooks, 42, at 2 pm
Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Eden Presbyterian Church, Rudd, IA. Crooks
of Jacksonville, FL was formerly from Rudd. He died Wednesday, June 4,
2003 at his home in Jacksonville. Jeff's body was cremated and his ashes
were scattered over the water as a memorial for his love for the water,
especially water skiing and scuba diving.

Jeff was born on March 24, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from Osage
High School in 1979. He enjoyed mechanical endeavors, especially working
on dirt bikes and restoring his 1974 Chevy.

Crooks retired from the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman
First Class Petty Officer. He was currently employed with ABC Liquor
Corporation in Jacksonville, FL.

Crooks was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Effie Retterath
and grandmother Eva Crooks.

Crooks is survived by two daughters Keely and Katie of Stone Mountain, GA;
his parents Dorothy and Alden Crooks of Rudd; brother Robert Crooks of
Lakeville, MN; sisters Cheryl Hathcock of Marshfield, MO; Angela Nanke
of Cedar Rapids and Jennifer Crooks of Washington, IA; his grandfather
Robert Crooks of Charles City, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
