OBITUARY: Lusetta Galley, 1866-1961, Mitchell Co., Iowa Mrs. Lusetta Galley Mrs. Lusetta Galley passed away at her home in Kenyon on December 25, 1961, at the age of 95 years. She was born at Stoughton, Wis., on September 8, 1866. On November 3, 1887, she was united in marriage to William Robert Galley at Rutland, Wis., and they established their home on a farm near Stoughton. In the Spring of 1899 they moved to Osage, Iowa, where they resided until 1914 when they moved to a farm in the Kenyon community, moving to the village of Kenyon in 1922, where she has since resided. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 12, 1928. One daughter and two sons also preceded her in death. Mrs. Galley is survived by two daughters, Lucile, who has always made her home with her mother, and Alice, (Mrs. Joe Kolstad) of Minneapolis, Minn., one son, Merle Galley of Kenyon, also eight grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. A family service was held at Hanson Funeral Home in Kenyon at 8 p.m. Tuesday, with services in the Methodist church in Kenyon on Wednesday, December 27, with the Rev. Roy A. Miller officiating at both services. At the church service Mrs. Roy Miller rendered two vocal selections, "Rock of Ages" and "He Leadeth Me", accompanied by Mrs. Gertrude Dalbotten, the church organist. Wayne Galley, Russell Galley, Robert Kolsted, Gene Gardner, Burton Gardner, and Donald Gardner served as pallbearers. Interment took place at the Osage Cemetery, Osage Iowa at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28.
