OBITUARY: William Robert Galley, 1862-1928, Mitchell Co., Iowa William Robert Galley William Robert Galley was born at Rutland, Wis., Sept. 1 1862. When a small boy his father died, leaving him and his mother alone. He grew to manhood among his mother's people. He was married to Lusetta J. Carrison on Nov. 3 1887, at Stoughton, Wis. Six children were born to them, three sons and three daughters. In the spring of 1899 they moved to Osage, near which place they made their home until 1914, when they moved to a farm near Kenyon, Minn., where he died on Dec. 12, 1928, after an illness of illness of several months. He was 66 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age. His wife survives him, also five children; Perry, Mrs. Mabel Gardner, Alice, Lucille, and Merle, all living in or near Kenyon. One son died in infancy. There are four grandchildren, Gene and Burton Gardner, and Russell and Keith Galley, also hosts of friends. M.D. Usher, a devoted cousin, has been helping with his care. Funeral services were held at the home in Kenyon, Dec. 15, and at Osage, Dec. 16. Interment was made in the family lot in the Osage cemetery.
