OBITUARY: Eva Grossmeyer Hanson, 1912-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                           Eva Hanson
               
A private family memorial service will be held for Eva Hanson, 90,
of Osage. Her body was cremated. Eva died Tuesday, November 3, 2003,
at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, Iowa.

Eva Hanson was born December 29, 1912 in Missouri, the daughter of Joe
and Anna (Fritz) Grossmeyer. 

Eva was united in marriage to Orvid Hanson on March 16, 1936. They
were lifelong farmers in the Ringsted area, until their retirement,
when they moved to Fairmont, Minnesota. 

After the death of her husband Eva went to work at the Stokley Canning
Company until her retirement. She then moved to Osage to be close to
her family.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one
grandson and two sisters.

She is survived by one son Raymond Hanson and his wife Roberta of
Osage; three grandchildren Raymond Hanson, Jr. and his wife Donna
of Little Cedar; Penny Counsell and her husband Michael of Osage
and Joe Hanson of Osage, six great-grandchildren; two great-great-
grandchildren and one sister, Ann Grossmeyer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
