OBITUARY: Mrs. John (LaVonne) Halvorson, -1981, Mitchell County, Iowa

                 Mrs. John Halvorson Memorial Services
                             Held October 16

  Memorial services for Mrs. John (LaVonne) Halvorson of Austin, Minn.,
who died October 13, were held October 16 at the Westminster Presbyterian
church, Austin.

  Mrs. Halvorson is survived by her husband; two sons and a
daughter-in-law, Ward and Dixie Halvorson of Austin and Bruce Halvorson of
San Francisco, Calif. and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara
Ward of Boca Raton, Fla.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

  John Halvorson is a former resident of St. Ansgar, and presently a
director of the St. Ansgar State Bank.
