OBITUARY: Nell (Hayden) Barton, 1874-1959, Mitchell Co., Iowa



        Funeral Monday For Mrs. Nell Barton, Cancer Victim

Funeral services for an elderly Osage woman, Mrs. Nell Barton, 84, were
held Monday morning at the Champion funeral Home in Osage.  The Rev.
Paul R. Johnson, pastor of the Methodist church in Osage was in charge
of the services, and burial was in a Minneapolis cemetery.

Mrs. Barton died of cancer Saturday at Mitchell County Memorial hospital
in Osage.

Nell Hayden was born in Mitchell County, July 4, 1874, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hayden.  Following her marriage to Fred Barton,
the family lived in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.  She had lived at the
home of her sister, the late Mrs. Ed Clark, since her husband's death
23 years ago.

One son, John of Menominee, Wis., is the only survivor.
