OBITUARY: Marie E. "Mim" Johnson, 1921-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa [ Adapted from Mitchell County Press-News online - Posted Oct. 15, 2003 ] Marie E. "Mim" Johnson Funeral services were held Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage for Marie E. "Mim" Johnson age, 82. The Reverend Dennis Hanson and Reverend Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in Rock Creek Cemetery, rural Osage. Marie died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Marie was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of Ole J. and Marie (Beagles) Johnson. She was educated in the Dudley Country School and was confirmed in 1943 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. She was employed at The Pantry and the Snack Shop in Osage. Marie was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and her circle in Osage. She made afghans for all her nieces and nephews and their children. One of Marie's favorite things to do was to work on puzzles. Marie's parents preceded her in death. Her survivors include two sisters Olive Borchardt (Raymond) of Osage; Lola Brandau of St. Ansgar; one brother Louis Johnson (Alice) of Rudd and numerous nieces and nephews Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home 641-732-3706 had charge of arrangements.
