Oscar Anton Johnson, the son of Jens and Ingbegorg Johnson, was born in
Rock township, Mitchell county, Iowa, May 26, 1886, and died at the
home place January 7, 1914.  The first member of the family circle
to be removed by death, he is survived by his parents, three brothers,
John, Matthias, and Alfred, and three sisters, Mathilda, who is at home,
Mrs. J. Christianson, and Mrs. G. Shoger, both living near here, and Mrs.
Martin Aursland in South Dakota.

The funeral services, conducted by the Rev. J. A. Urnes, were held in
the Rock Creek Lutheran church, with all the young man's brothers and
sisters present, as well as a number of other relatives. He was laid
to rest in the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery.
