OBITUARY: Irva Lesch Feldpouch, 1916-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa [Mitchell County-Press-News online - Posted Oct. 1, 2003] Irva Lesch Feldpouch Funeral services for Irva Lesch Feldpouch, age 87, a resident of Waterloo and Osage, were held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Our Savior's Luthean Church in Osage. The Reverend Dennis Hanson and the Reverend Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Irva died suddenly of natural causes Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at her Osage home. Irva Feldpouch was born July 16, 1916 on the family farm south of Osage, the daughter of Alfred Henry and Louise Carolyn (Troge) Lesch. She graduated from Osage High School in 1934 and was also a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She taught for 10 years in rural Mitchell County schools and in the Waterloo Public Schools for 32 years, from which she retired. Irva married Johnson Feldpouch on January 5, 1945 in Cedar Falls, IA. He died in 1979. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and of the Martha Circle. She was also a member of numerous gem and mineral clubs and the Audubon Society. Irva was preceded in death by her husband Johnson Feldpouch, parents, two brothers Ralph and W. Francis Lesch, sister Marvel A. Lesch and sister-in-law Margie Lesch.
