OBITUARY: Meta (Martinson) Weber, 1963-2003, Mitchell County, Iowa [Adapted from: Mitchell County-Press-News online - Posted Dec. 3, 2003] Meta Weber Funeral Services for Meta Jean (Martinson) Weber, age 40, were held Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa, with Rev. Dennis Hanson, Rev. Roy Ott, and Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Interment was at the Osage Cemetery. Meta died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at her home in Osage. Meta was born January 8, 1963, in Osage, the daughter of Alan and Shirley (Ingebritson) Martinson. She graduated from Osage High School in 1981. Meta married Darrell Weber on June 27, 1981 in Osage. To this union two sons were born, Nicholas and Jeffrey. Meta received her nurses training from NIACC graduating in 1991. She was employed as an LPN at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, and she loved caring for the elderly at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Meta was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and Our Savior's Bell Choir, MCRHC-Hospital Auxiliary, Osage Fire Department Auxiliary. Meta was a volunteer at the Crisis Intervention Center of North Iowa. Meta was preceded in death by her father Alan Martinson, her grandparents Herman and Alice Ingebritson, and Oscar and Sarah Martinson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her two sons, Nick Weber and Jeff Weber of Osage and their father Darrell Weber of Osage; her mother Shirley Martinson of Osage; three sisters, Christine Straate (Dino), and children Ben, Laura, and Carl of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, Cathy Woodiwiss (Brad) and their children Katie, Julia, and Lindsey of Lone Tree, and Monica Martinson and children Andrea, Joshua, Dakota and Dustin of Osage; one brother Paul Martinson (Chastity) and children Alan, Eric and Luke of Rochester, Minnesota.
