OBITUARY: William Frank Miller, 1897-1981, Mitchell County, Iowa [St. Ansgar Enterprise, 13 AUG 1981] Copyrighted William F. Miller Funeral Held Here Tuesday, August 4 Funeral services for William F. Miller, 84, who died at his home in Willmar, Minn. July 30, were held August 4 at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert Porter, pastor of the St. Ansgar Baptist church, officiating. William Frank Miller was born July 22, 1897 in Mitchell county, the son of William H. and Mary Miller. He grew up in this community and received his education here. At the age of 18 he moved with his family to a farm near Lyle where he resided for several years. He married Lillian Hanson in Austin, Minn. February 24, 1926. They resided in Austin for a time before moving to Minneapolis, Minn. where he was employed as a machinist. He was a founder and former owner of the R & M Ben Franklin Store in Willmar, Minn. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Arlene) Ring of Willmar, Minn.; two grandchildren; one brother, Donald Miller of Kent, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Lorna Hansen of Austin, Minn. and Mrs. Elmer Nagel of Rose Creek, Minn.; also many other relatives and friends. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Porter in charge of committal services.
