OBITUARY: Alvira Richardson Dugan, 1846-1917, Mitchell County, Iowa Dugan Mrs. Alvira Richardson-Dugan was born August 13, 1846 and died April 1, 1917. She was born at Rei, in Ripley county Ind. and departed this life at Osage, Iowa, age 70 years of age. She was the oldest of seven children, five daughters and two sons of whom two boys and two girls are still living. She was converted in her youth and publicly confessed her faith in her Savior, uniting with the Methodist Episcopal church. During these many years she had lived a consistent Christian life with special devotion in later life. She came to Minnesota in the early 60's and in that state spent the greater part of her life. She first came to Osage about eighteen years ago and had been there much of time since then. In the year 1879 she was married to Charles Dugan, who died a number of years ago. Her daughter, Mable, and she had been much devoted to one another. There remain to pay tribute of love to her memory, besides the daughter, Mrs. Mable Cornwell, of Osage, and friends, brothers and sisters, as follows: George Richardson, of St. Paul; Mrs. Jennie Graham, of Hutchinson, Minn.; Gershom Richardson of Zion City, Ill.; and Mrs. Anna Willson of Osage. Her sister, Jennie was also at her bedside when she passed away in the home of her sister, Anna, in Osage. The funeral was held from the home of J. R. Willson Monday morning, in charge of Rev.
