                         John A. Rohne  Funeral
                         Held At Six Mile Grove

  Funeral services for John A. Rohne, 85, of Lyle, who died at the Mitchell
County Memorial hospital December 26, were held December 29 at the Six Mile
Grove Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.

  John Arthur Rohne was born August 29, 1896 in London Township, Minn., the
son of Harold J. and Ella (Bergeson) Rohne. He was baptized and confirmed
in the Lutheran faith at the Deer Creek Valley Lutheran church, and lived
in the Deer Creek, Albert Lea and Lyle areas. He attended school in rural
Deer Creek and Albert Lea. He had resided in his present home for the past
19 years. He was a member of Six Mile Grove Lutheran church and a social
member of the Lyle American Legion Post.

  Mr. Rohne was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a
sister. He is survived by three brothers, Herbert and Melvin of Lyle and
Haakon of Osage; three sisters-in-law; one aunt, Laura Leidall of
Northwood; several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
