OBITUARY: Orville Glen Schofield, 1909-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                        Orville Glen Schofield

Funeral services for Orville Schofield, age 93, of rural Riceville will
be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 2 at the McIntire Methodist Church,
in McIntire, IA. Reverend Michael Carey will be the officiant and burial
will be in the Wayne Cemetery in rural McIntire.  Orville died Saturday,
June 28, 2003 at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

Orville was born at Rabbit Ridge, MO on December 11, 1909 to Ernest Marian
and Lyda Mae Roush Schofield. He attended local schools.

Orville was united in marriage to Connie Joyce Kristiansen on May 19, 1950
at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Orville farmed his entire life
retiring at the age of 88.

Preceding Orville in death were his parents, his wife Connie in 1997 and
two sisters.

His survivors include a daughter Sharon and her husband Keith Johnson of
Goodell, IA; a son Ernest and his wife Karen Schofield of rural Riceville,
three grandchildren Michelle Ann and her husband Ned Burmeister, Darrin
and his wife Kim Johnson and Kristian Schofield. Also surviving are two
great-grandchildren Natasha and Jake Johnson and a brother Denver and his
wife Lela Schofield of Rockwell, IA.
