OBITUARY: Meta M. Jensen, 1906-2003, Mitchell, Iowa

                             Meta M. Jensen

Funeral services for Meta M. Jensen, 97, of Osage  were held at
1:30 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2003 at Our Savior's Lutheran
Church in Osage with Rev. Dennis Hanson officiating.  Interment
was in the Osage Cemetery.

Meta died Monday, November 10, 2003, at the Mitchell County
Regional Health Center in Osage.  

Meta was born September 19, 1906, in Floyd County near Colwell,
the daughter of Frank and Tina (Kohlman) Tjaden.

She was united in marriage to Reimar C. Jensen on February 14, 1935.
They farmed north of Charles City until 1945, when they purchased a
farm southwest of Osage. They lived there until moving to Osage in
1981. Reimar died in 1993.  She lived in her own home until October
of 2002.  She then lived at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. She
worked at the Charles City Country Club and at various restaurants
in Charles City.  She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Reimar Jensen, her parents,
one sister and five brothers.

She is survived by one sister-in-law Marian Tjaden of Charles City;
one brother-in-law Sidney Jensen of Elveto, California and many nieces
and nephews.

Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of arrangements.
