OBITUARY: Earl Clark Tubbs, 1891-1972, Mitchell Co., Iowa Earl C. Tubbs Osage- Funeral services for Earl C. Tubbs, 81, will be held at 2 pm Friday at Champion Funeral Home in Osage. The Rev. Wayne Gjerde of United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery. Earl Clark Tubbs was born in Rock Creek Community of Mitchell County Dec. 28 1891, the son of Charles and Ruth Clark Tubbs. He was a veteran of World War I and a charter member of the American Legion Post 278 of Osage. He was married to Gladys Erbe March 3, 1920 and was employed by the State of Iowa until retiring in 1957. Surviving are his wife; a son Charles H. Tubbs, Mason City; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Phyllis) McAlister, Austin Minn; Mrs. Bill (Joan) Kenny Jr. Osage; nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Coonradt, Waverly; Mrs. Perry (Josie) Galley Kenyon, Minn.
