OBITUARY: Anna M. (White) Rosenberg, 1908-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa [ Mitchell County-Press-News online - Posted Oct. 22, 2003 ] Anna M. Rosenberg Funeral services for Anna M. Rosenberg, 95, of St. Ansgar, were held Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar with Rev. Byron Northwick officiating. Burial was at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood, Iowa. Anna died Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar. Anna M. Rosenberg was born March 25, 1908 to John P. and Sina (Rasmussen) White. She was baptized and confirmed on April 13, 1924 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. C. Landdeck. She attended school at the country school west of Grafton. She graduated from High School in Grafton on May 20, 1926. She married George Rosenberg on May 1, 1927. Two sons were born to this union, Raymond and Russell. They farmed for many years on the Rosenberg home farm southwest of St. Ansgar. After retiring from farming in 1955, they purchased a home in St. Ansgar. Anna then went to work at the Good Samaritan Center. Among many other duties, she operated Anna's Cafe. She owned rug looms and wove many, many rugs for family and friends. She did volunteer work at many churches and also the Good Samaritan Center. Anna had six sisters and brothers. Anna was preceded in death by her husband George, son Raymond Sr., and one grandson, Raymond Jr.; brothers Vern, Art, and John Jr.; three sisters: Mabel Paulsen, Nora Bruesewitz and Clara Kuehn. She is survived by son Russell Rosenberg, Sr. and wife Kathryn of St. Ansgar. Also by 11 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren.
