                           Beatrice G. Tibbetts

Memorial services for Beatrice G. Tibbetts, 79, were held Saturday,
June 5, 2004 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.  Private
inurnment was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Beatrice died
Wednesday, June 2 at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness.

Beatrice was born July 3, 1924 in Stacyville, Iowa, to Willis and
Verna Hill Gaines.  She married Merle L. Tibbetts on February 9,
1947 in Osage.  She worked as a nurse at the Mitchell County Hospital
for 12 years and for St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for 28 years.
She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Marks United Methodist
Church, 4700 Johnson Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405, or to the
American Lung Association.

Survivors include three sons Steven and wife Sheila of Appleton,
Wisconsin, Kirk and wife Nannette of Urbandale, and Jon and wife
Kristine of Dubuque, a brother Jack Gaines of Seattle, Washington,
and 7 grandchildren, Sara, Cameron, Elizabeth, Noelle, Kelly,
Ellen, and Susan Ward and husband Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Arrangements were made by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
