OBITUARY: Hazel Johnson, 1927-2004, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                           Hazel Johnson          

Funeral services for Hazel Johnson, age 77, of Osage, Iowa, were
held Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health
Care Center. The Reverend Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in
the Osage Cemetery. Hazel died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the Osage
Rehabilitation and Health Care Center where she resided for over
30 years.

Hazel was the youngest of five children, born to Gustave Sigfrid
and Hulda Marie Johnson on January 20, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois.

When she was 18 years of age she suffered severe depression after
the death of both parents. She never fully recovered from her
illness, and spent many years in nursing facilities such as the
Osage Rehabilitation  and Health Care Center.

Hazel is survived by a niece, Linda Moskalski of Fort Mill, South
Carolina.

Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
