OBITUARY: Arthur J. McKenna, 1872-1940, Mitchell Co., Iowa




                           Arthur J. McKenna

Arthur J. McKenna, son of John and Matilda Nye-McKenna, was born in
Liberty Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, September 6, 1872, and passed
away very suddenly Saturday evening, October 26, 1940.

On March 15, 1916, he married Oril (another clipping gives her name
as Aril) Herrington, Plymouth, Wisconsin.  Two children were born
to this union, Floyd and Grace, who with their mother, are left to
mourn the loss of a kind and considerate father and husband.

He is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Myrtie Potter and Miss
Leota McKenna, of Osage, and Mrs. Jessie Eastman, of the David
vicinity; one nephew, Ray Potter, and one niece, Mrs. Euna Eastman-Erickson.

Funeral services were held at 1:45 pm Tuesday at the McKenna home and
at 2 pm at the David church, in charge of the Rev. Bodenham.  Burial
was in the Riceville cemetery.
