OBITUARY: Marianne (Rushford) Weaverling, 1937-2004, Mitchell Co., Iowa [ From Mitchell County-Press-News online - April 7, 2004 - edited ] Marianne Weaverling Mass of Christian Burial for Marianne Weaverling, age 66 of Osage, Iowa, was held Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. The Reverend Mark Reasoner officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Marianne died at her home Thursday, April 1, 2004. Marianne Weaverling was born April 21, 1937, in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Wilma (Korhonen) Rushford. She was united in marriage to Melvin Weaverling June 26, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. They lived their entire married life in Osage. Marianne was a Cub Scout leader, a member of the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marianne's survivors include her husband Melvin Weaverling of Osage, one son Michael Weaverling and his wife Melinda and their children Kristen and Bradley of Cedar Rapids, one daughter Marilyn Weaverling of Fairchance, Pennsylvania, five sisters Carol Kuzdak and her husband Richard of Detroit, Michigan, Sandra Abraham of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ginny Leto of Bell, California, Donna Sanchez of Fort Worth, Texas, Carlo Albro of Indianapolis, Indiana and one brother Richard Rushford and his wife Patty of Eugene, Oregon.
