OBITUARY: Virginia Rose "Butch" (Adams) Weber, 1927-2004, Mitchell Co., Iowa [From Mitchell County-Press-News online (Edited); Posted May 19, 2004] Virginia "Butch" Rose Weber Funeral services for Virginia "Butch" Rose Weber, age 76, of Stacyville, Iowa, will be held Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with Father Mark Reasoner officiating. Interment will be in the Visitation Cemetery in Stacyville. Virginia died Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Hospice Room of the Stacyville Community Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Virginia was born December 20, 1927 in Stacyville, the daughter of Ben and Mary (Wingert) Adams. She was married to Edmund Mathew Weber on May 14, 1946 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. To this union was born three children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In her early years, she was employed at Pitzen Produce in Stacyville, and later worked at Fox River Mills in Osage, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Edmund Weber, in 2003, two brothers, Charles Adams and Jerome Adams. Her survivors include three sons, Denny Weber and his wife Linda of Cedar Rapids, and their children: Nicole Kemp and her husband Cory, Chad Weber and his wife Jamie; Tom Weber of Robins; Don Weber and his wife Sue of Stacyville and their children, Jackie Hanna and her husband Matt, and Chris Weber, four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, Allison and Hayden, two sisters, Sylvia Mayer of Stacyville, Mildred Schaeffer of Raymond, one brother, Jim Adams and his wife Vera of Stacyville.
