                        Lurene C. Anderson

CARPENTER, IOWA--Lurene C. Anderson, age 92, of Carpenter, died on
Wednesday April 24, 1996, at Osage Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Deer Creek Lutheran
Church with the Rev. Kathy Larson officiating.

Burial will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery.

Lurene C. Anderson was born Dec. 15, 1903, in Deer Creek Township,
Worth County.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin, of Carpenter; one son, Kenneth
Anderson of Spring Valley, Minn.; two sisters, Ina Gould of Carpenter,
and Garnas Askerooth of Fargo, N.D.; one brother, Harvey Anderson of
Carpenter; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

The Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, Iowa, is in charge
of arrangements.
