OBITUARY: Vera L. Chehock, 1904-1995, Mitchell County, Iowa Adapted from: MASON CITY GLOBE GAZETTE - Nov. 5, 1995 Vera L. Chehock OSAGE-- Vera L. Chehock, 91, of Osage died Friday, November 3, 1995, at the Faith Home, Osage. Memorial services were held Monday at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with the Rev. Roger Hoppenworth officiating. Inurnment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Meroa, Iowa. Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements. Vera L. Chehock was born July 20, 1904 near Portland. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Barland of West Bend, Wis., Barbara Berner of Mason City, and Frances Nielsen of S. St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Clyde R. Chehock of Cocolalla, Idaho; six sisters, Reva McMahon of Darian, Ill., Marcele Wald of Yuba City, Calif., Frances Funk of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jessie Graham of Silverdale, Wash. and June Davenport of Mason City, and Joanne Clapper, Santa Anna, Calif.; three brothers, Roger Dunbar of Elkhart, Ind., Gale Dunbar, of Wichita, Kan., and Gordon Dunbar of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
