OBITUARY: Ira William Dahley, 1889-1966, Mitchell Co., Iowa

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Champion
Funeral Home for Ira Dahley, 77, who died in San Gabriel, CA on Sunday.
The Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of the Methodist church, will be in charge
of the services and burial will be in the Osage cemetery.

Ira William Dahley was born in the Meroa area near Osage on March 15,
1889 to Ole Iver and Ellen Knudson Dahley.  He attended the rural
schools of his area and the St. Ansgar seminary.  He was married to
Vina Gray of Osage on May 11, 1910.  They were in the clothing business
for a number of years, first in Forest City and later in Marshalltown.

Mr. Dahley is survived by his wife, Vina of Osage; one daughter,
Margaret (Mrs. Erick) Nelson of Lexington, MA; one brother, Elmer of
Meroa; one sister, Mrs. Adella Norby of Rochester, MN; two grandchildren
and two great grandchildren.
