RICEVILLE--William "Bill" Deegan, 94, died Friday (Jan. 19, 1996)
at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. John Moser and the Rev.
Don Lovejoy officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lindstrom Funeral
Home, where a scripture service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

William ``Bill'' Deegan was born March 19, 1901, in Boone.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Riceville; one son, Thomas,
of Riceville; one grandson; and two sisters, Katie O'Conell of
Plymouth, Wis., and Esther Barak of Beaumont, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three
brothers.
