                         Emily Johnston

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Emily Johnston, 92, of Austin, Minn., died Thursday,
April 11, 1996, at Burr Oak Manor, Austin, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Schroeder and
Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Joe Matt of Austin,
Minn. officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery,
St. Ansgar.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Schroeder and Sites
Funeral Home.

Emily was born April 23, 1903 in Worth County, Iowa to Elling and
Serena (Knutson) Ellingson.

She was a graduate of Northwood High School and graduated from the
nursing program at St. Olaf Hospital, Austin, Minn.

She worked at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minn. for 35 years.

She is survived by one son, Paul Johnston, of Austin, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; huband, Loy Johnston;
and one brother, Benny Ellingson.
