                              Betty Funk

OSAGE, IOWA--Betty Funk, 71, of Osage, died Thursday (Dec. 19, 1996) at
the Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy
Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today at the Champion Funeral Home,
Osage, and one hour before services at the church.

Betty Funk was born Oct. 26, 1925, near Monona in Allamakee County.

Survivors include a daughter, Becky Halverson, Osage; one son, Ted Funk
of Osage; two sisters, Ramona Christofferson, Harpers Ferry, and
JoAnn Benesh, Cedar Rapids; one brother, Harlan Bentien of Monona;
and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
