DES MOINES, IOWA--Lucille C. Groth, 85, died Saturday (March 2, 1996)
at the Calvin Manor Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 1997, at the
Westminster Presbyterian Church.  Burial will also be on Tuesday
at the St. Ansgar City Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Lucille C. Groth was born in St. Ansgar.  She was a member of
Westminster Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter H.E., and the Des
Moines Garden Club.

Survivors include two sons, Philip A. of Pella, and David of
Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Wilbur and Gene Gerlach, both
of St. Ansgar; two sisters, Rose Nickerson of St. Ansgar, and
Erma Balls of Waterloo; three grandchildren; one step-grandchild;
and one step-great-grandchild.

Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines, was in charge of arrangements.
