OBITUARY: Corinda "Cora" (Lundene) Larson, 1895-1973, Mitchell County, Iowa Corinda Lundene Larson Funeral services were held Saturday at the Rock Creek Lutheran church for Mrs. Cora Larson, 78, who died Thursday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. She had suffered a stroke 10 days earlier. The Rev. Paul Metzger, church pastor, was in charge. Arrangements were by Champion Funeral home and burial was in the Rock Creek cemetery. Corinda (Cora) Lundene was born in Floyd County on October 2, 1895 to Anton and Marie Norby Lundene. On March 20, 1918, she was united in marriage to Lloyd C. Larson at the farm home of her parents. The following year they established their home on a farm in Floyd County and this remained their home until 1968, when her husband died and she retired to her home in Osage. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Elza (Ida) Steelman of Yakima, WA; a brother-in-law, Ervin Nelson of Waterloo; a brother-in-law, Edwin Horgen of Osage, and a number of nieces and nephews, among who are Betty Kroneman, Ruth Onken, Melbourne, Donald, and Kenneth Larson of Osage.
